Stakeholder Communication & Lifecycle Management

Working with the people around the system: structured discovery, presenting trade-offs so stakeholders can act, SLAs and feedback loops, documentation that survives handoff, and the lifecycle from design to iteration.

  1. 6.1Structured Discovery and RequirementsRun discovery as structured elicitation, turn what stakeholders say into requirements, constraints and assumptions, and write it down so every design decision traces back to a source.
  2. 6.2Communicating Decisions and Trade-offsPresent architectural decisions so stakeholders can act on them, stating what they gain, what they give up and what reversing the decision would cost, in the language of the person deciding.
  3. 6.3Feedback Loops, Expectations and SLAsTurn production signals into decisions through a defined feedback loop, decide which signals reach stakeholders, define SLAs as commitments with breach responses, and keep calendar-based governance checks separate from metric alerts.
  4. 6.4Documenting Architectures for HandoffDocument architectures so a successor can change them safely and an auditor can verify them, with decision logs that record the rejected options and the reasons, an assumption register, runbooks and a control register.
  5. 6.5Supporting the LifecycleCarry requirements through discovery, design, handoff, monitoring and iteration, decide when to iterate and when to re-architect, and gate expansion on documented business outcomes.
